After a very long day on Sunday, we had an easier one planned for Monday - about 50 miles. The route took us near Thiepval, and as it was D Day we visited the Commonwealth war graves. You can see the memorial in the background, which contains the names of 72,000 fallen who had no marked graves.
Today's lunch stop (Tuesday) was spent in Reims and we had an opportunity to visit the cathedral. Eight hours riding and then we needed to find a new hotel as unfortunately we'd been double-booked.
